Juliana C. Jardim Barbosa is a Brazilian botanist and is a pre-PhD student in my group. She works on understanding how genome size and polyploidy shapes trait evolution and diversification in Rosids.
Juliana holds a Master’s degree in Plant Biodiversity and Environment from the Instituto de Pesquisas Ambientais (São Paulo, Brazil), where she studied species boundaries and ecological variation in Brazilian Magnolia species using fieldwork and herbarium studies in Brazil and abroad. Her background is in plant systematics and biodiversity research, with experience in taxonomic data curation, geometric morphometric and species distribution analyses.
Feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss possibilities of collaborations, internships or joining the group. Funding calls will be posted as they arise, but I am always open to conversations about prospective Masters, PhD, or early-career fellowship projects.
It is possible to apply for postdoctoral fellowships, like, Postdoc fellowship of the Czech Science Foundation and Marie Curie Postdoc fellowship.
